The trial of Kamal Bakhshiyev, accused of stabbing his aunt's daughter and killing another relative, was held in Baku.
During the hearing at the Baku Court of Grave Crimes, presided over by judge Nigar Imanova, the victim Naila Salimova testified. She is the accused's aunt's daughter. The murdered Elshad Bakhshiyev was known to her but not close.
The victim stated the crime was due to jealousy and she did not reconcile.
Video footage from the crime scene was shown. The investigation phase concluded. The hearing is adjourned to July 1 for closing statements.
The incident occurred in April in Zyg settlement. Kamal Bakhshiyev stabbed Naila Salimova multiple times, then killed Elshad Bakhshiyev. He was arrested.
