Hull City secured promotion to the English Premier League after a 1-0 victory over Middlesbrough in the Championship playoff final at Wembley Stadium in London.

The winning goal came in the 90+5th minute from Oliver McBurnie, sending Hull City to the top flight.

In the semifinals, Hull City beat Millwall, while Middlesbrough eliminated Southampton.

The club is owned by famous Turkish businessman Acun Ilıcalı.
