AC Milan have sacked head coach Massimiliano Allegri.

According to football insider Nicolo Schira, the decision was made after the team's defeat.

On May 24, Milan lost 1-2 to Cagliari in the 38th round of Serie A, missing out on Champions League qualification. As a result, Milan will play in the UEFA Europa League for the 2026/27 season.

Milan finished fifth in Serie A with 70 points.

Allegri had taken over the club in late May 2025, returning for a second stint after previously coaching Milan from 2010 to 2014.
