Elvin Alizade, captain of the Azerbaijan national minifootball team, stated that the team aims to become champions at the European Championship in Slovakia.
The captain commented on the victory against France in the last group match: "After two consecutive wins, the third victory was very important. We showed good play and won."
Alizade also evaluated their round of 16 opponent Kazakhstan: "Kazakhstan is a familiar team, but there have been changes in their squad. We will analyze them and deliver a good performance. We came to the tournament to win the championship."
It is worth noting that Azerbaijan defeated Austria (1:0), Italy (3:0), and France (3:2) in the group stage. The team, coached by Elshad Guliyev, will face Kazakhstan in the round of 16.
