The head coach of the Azerbaijan national minifootball team, Elshad Guliyev, spoke ahead of the final match.
He stated that the team wants to perform better in the European Championship final.
According to Oxu.Az, Guliyev shared his thoughts after the semifinal game in Slovakia.
“I congratulate all my players and our people. We want to become champions. Serbia is one of the strongest teams in Europe. It was a tough match. The opponent might have played better, but we won the result. We want to play better in the final,” he said.
The head coach noted that the quarterfinal against Czech Republic drained a lot of energy. “We must prepare for tomorrow. We intend to play better. One goal can decide the outcome. Both teams played cautiously. We had to consider defense. But we do not play defensive football,” he added.
Recall that the Azerbaijani team beat Serbia on penalties in the semifinal. Regular time ended 1:1.
