Azerbaijani defender Zamiq Aliyev, who plays for Albania's "Egnatia" club, is in a difficult situation.
After the end of last season, he returned to Azerbaijan but is now unable to leave the country. The reason is that the State Service for Mobilization and Conscription has imposed a travel ban on him.
On June 8, Aliyev tried to join his team's summer training camp but was turned back at the airport.
As a result, the Albanian club removed him from the Champions League squad and fined him 5,000 euros for missing training.
"Egnatia" demands the player's immediate return to camp. Otherwise, the club has informed his manager that they will terminate his contract.
