Azerbaijani gymnasts completed the international "AGF Trophy" tournament in Baku with 16 medals.
The Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation reported that athletes competed in junior and senior categories.
The women's senior team included Nazanin Teymurova, Deniz Aliyeva, Aytan Mammadova, and Khadija Abbaszade; juniors: Albina Aliyeva, Leyla Mammadzade, Aynaz Majidzade, and Lala Zamanli. Men's senior: Rasul Ahmadzade, Aydin Alizade, and Nikita Simonov; juniors: Miryusif Ahmadzade, Ilham Salayev, Mahir Salimov, Isgandar Javadzade, and Mahammad Rustamzade.
On the first day, juniors competed in team and all-around. Both women's and men's teams won bronze. Individually, Leyla Mammadzade earned bronze in all-around.
On the second day, seniors performed all-around. Rasul Ahmadzade won gold among men, Khadija Abbaszade bronze among women.
In the final stage, apparatus finals were held. Ilham Salayev won bronze on floor, Leyla Mammadzade three bronzes on vault, uneven bars, and floor.
Seniors: Rasul Ahmadzade gold on pommel horse and horizontal bar, Deniz Aliyeva gold on vault and silver on uneven bars, Nikita Simonov gold on rings, Nazanin Teymurova gold on beam, Aydin Alizade bronze on parallel bars.
Note: Held on May 14-16 at the National Gymnastics Arena with about 50 gymnasts from 5 countries.
