Aziz Yıldırım has been elected as the new president of Fenerbahçe in the extraordinary general election, returning after an eight-year hiatus.
According to unofficial results, Yıldırım defeated his rival Hakan Safi after most ballot boxes were opened.
With 28 boxes counted, Yıldırım received 9,625 votes, while Safi got 5,607 votes.
Hakan Safi accepted defeat, congratulated Yıldırım, and stated he would continue working for the club.
