Barcelona has released a statement threatening to sue Real Madrid president Florentino Perez for defamation.

According to Oxu.Az, the Catalan club published the information on its official website. They object to Perez's statements during a press conference on May 12.

The club claims that some of Perez's remarks are slanderous and insulting. They have attempted a pre-trial conciliation.

Barcelona demands that Perez retract these statements. Otherwise, they will file a criminal complaint.
