After the New York team won its first NBA championship in 53 years, basketball fans flooded the streets.

In Times Square, celebrating fans set several school buses on fire.

Journalist Nick Sortor reported the incident on X (formerly Twitter).

The New York team defeated San Antonio 4-1 in the finals, winning its first title since 1973.
