The 2026 FIFA World Cup Group G kicked off with Belgium facing Egypt in Seattle, USA. The match ended in a 1-1 draw.

Both goals were scored by Egyptian players: Emam Ashour opened the scoring in the 19th minute, while Mohamed Hani scored an own goal in the 66th minute.

The next Group G match will be between Iran and New Zealand on June 16 at 05:00 AM.
