Benfica has appointed Mark Silva as the club's new head coach.

The 48-year-old signed a two-year contract, with an option to extend until the 2028/29 season.

Earlier, Benfica paid €15 million to terminate Jose Mourinho's contract prematurely.

Silva previously managed Fulham since 2021.
