Brazil's national team has filed a formal complaint with FIFA after Vinicius Junior's goal against Scotland in the 2026 World Cup was disallowed.
According to Oxu.Az, the match ended with a 3-0 victory for the South American team.
Brazil argues that a foul by Argentina's Alexis Mac Allister went unpunished, referencing Lionel Messi's goal against Austria.
"The disallowed goal against Scotland doesn't align with the tournament's philosophy. The decision surprised both Brazilian and Scottish players," the complaint states.
The incident occurred in the 22nd minute when Vinicius pressed Scottish defender Jack Hendry, won the ball, and scored. Mexican referee Cesar Ramos disallowed the goal after a VAR review, citing a foul.
