A British fan traveling to Budapest to watch the UEFA Champions League final between Arsenal and PSJ was hospitalized after a serious accident. However, he escaped from the hospital to watch the match.

According to Oxu.Az, the Budapest Police Headquarters reported this on Facebook.

The police statement said that on May 30, in the afternoon, a UK citizen riding an electric scooter fell and was injured, and was taken to the hospital. Examinations revealed that he had sustained serious, life-threatening injuries.

Nevertheless, the fan left the hospital on his own because he wanted to watch the final match.

Law enforcement officers began searching for the man. Since he needed urgent medical help, attempts were made to contact him and his relatives.

"The police managed to contact the British man who was seriously injured from the scooter fall. The contact was made through a relative. The football fan was returned to the hospital to receive medical treatment," the police statement noted.
