Manchester United's Portuguese midfielder Bruno Fernandes has been named the Premier League Player of the Season.

The Premier League's official website announced the award. This season, Fernandes scored 8 goals and provided 20 assists.

With his assist tally, Fernandes matched the records of legends Kevin De Bruyne (2019/20) and Thierry Henry (2002/03). Manchester United still have one game left, so this number could increase.

Other nominees included Erling Haaland, Antoine Semenyo, Gabriel Magalhães, David Raya, Declan Rice, Morgan Gibbs-White, and Igor Thiago.

Fernandes becomes the first Manchester United player to win this award since Nemanja Vidić in the 2010/11 season.
