Claude Lemieux, a four-time Stanley Cup champion and former Canadian forward, has died at the age of 60.
According to Oxu.Az citing the Izvestia newspaper, this was reported by the press service of the National Hockey League (NHL) Alumni Association.
Lemieux began his professional career in 1983 after being selected in the second round of the draft by the Montreal Canadiens. In the 1985/86 season, he scored 10 goals in 20 playoff games, helping the team win the Stanley Cup.
He won his second NHL championship in 1995 with the New Jersey Devils. The following season, he moved to the Colorado Avalanche and won the cup again. Lemieux earned his fourth Stanley Cup in 2000 after returning to New Jersey.
