The names of clubs interested in Sabah's player Joie-Lens Mikels have been revealed.
According to Oxu.Az citing Sport24.az, along with Bursaspor, Mardin 1969, which gained promotion to the First League, also sent an official offer to the striker.
It is reported that the salary conditions offered to the forward satisfied him.
However, the transfer did not take place because Mikels' family wanted to live in Baku.
According to other information we obtained, Sivasspor and Iğdır also made official offers to the player.
It is worth noting that Joie-Lens Mikels extended his contract with Sabah for another two years. The striker, who is also a member of the Rwanda national team, became the champion of Azerbaijan once with the Baku representative and won the national cup twice. Mikels scored 19 goals in 25 matches in the 2025/2026 season of the Misli Premier League, becoming the league's top scorer.
