France national team head coach Didier Deschamps has assessed his team's prospects for the 2026 World Cup.
According to Oxu.Az, the specialist spoke about this in an interview with the YouTube channel "M6 Info".
"We are not favorites, but we go there to beat everyone. I'm not saying we are better than the favorites, I just think we are stronger than all the other teams. We will try to prove it. In any case, to reach the top, we must beat everyone who comes our way. We know the top three leaders, but we don't know who comes after them. Let's focus on that top three. It's an approach, but it's also part of life," Deschamps said.
The 2026 FIFA World Cup will be held from June 11 to July 19 in the USA, Canada, and Mexico.
The current world champion is the Argentina national team. Argentina faced France in the final of the 2022 World Cup. The match ended 3-3 in regular and extra time, but Argentina won 4-2 on penalties to become world champions.
