France national team head coach Didier Deschamps has made a bold statement about the 2026 World Cup.
In an interview with M6 Info's YouTube channel, he said: "We are not favorites, but we are going there to beat everyone. I'm not saying we are better than the favorites, I just think we are stronger than all the other teams. We will try to prove it. To reach the top, we must beat everyone in our path."
Deschamps acknowledged the top three favorites but emphasized his team's ambition. The 2026 World Cup will be held from June 11 to July 19 in the USA, Canada, and Mexico. Current champions Argentina defeated France on penalties in the 2022 final.
