Azerbaijan national team goalkeeper Emil Balayev expressed his joy after returning to the squad following a long break.
According to Oxu.Az citing "Report", the goalkeeper spoke at a press conference before the friendly match against Malta.
Commenting on the training camp in Austria and the team atmosphere, Balayev said:
"I thank head coach Ayxan Abbasov and all the coaching staff. Despite being away from games for a long time due to injuries, being back in the national team after 3 years really makes me happy. There is a true family atmosphere in the team. I think tomorrow's match will be interesting."
Note that the Azerbaijan vs Malta friendly match will take place on June 5 in Austria.
