The head of the Ferrari Formula 1 team, Frederic Vasseur, has been hospitalized in Monaco.
Ferrari's press service issued a statement confirming the news.
"Vasseur will not be at the track today. After several medical exams, he will remain under doctors' supervision at a local medical facility. We wish him a speedy recovery," the statement said.
This weekend, Monaco hosts the sixth round of the Formula 1 championship, with qualifying scheduled for today. Ferrari drivers are considered among the top favorites.
The 58-year-old Vasseur has led Ferrari since January 2023.
