FIFA has ordered the Egyptian national team to change the design of their jersey for the 2026 World Cup.
Journalist Mikey Junior reported on social media platform X that the demand relates to seven stars on the logo.
The stars symbolize Egypt's seven Africa Cup of Nations titles. However, FIFA rules allow only World Cup titles to be displayed on jerseys.
Additionally, FIFA has demanded a change in the gold color used for players' names and numbers.
Egypt will play their first World Cup match on June 15 against Belgium. They will also face New Zealand on June 22 and Iran on June 27 in the group stage.
