FIFA has allowed coaching staff to move along the touchline during national anthems to prevent photographers from blocking their view of players.
According to Oxu.Az, citing "The Times", coaching staff will now be able to stand to the left or right of photographers, giving them a clearer view of players during the anthem.
England manager Thomas Tuchel complained after a 4-2 win over Croatia in the 2026 World Cup that a "wall of 50 photographers" prevented him from seeing his players during the national anthem, partially reducing the emotional impact of the moment.
