FIFA will make a special exception for US President Donald Trump, allowing him to personally present the trophy to the World Cup-winning team.
Oxu.Az reports this citing "talkSPORT." According to sources, FIFA will leave it to Trump's discretion whether to celebrate the World Cup finale with the players or stay aside with other officials.
According to FIFA protocol, traditionally the trophy is placed on a pedestal, then a member of the champion team takes it and brings it to their teammates on the podium to celebrate. The ceremony should also include official representatives of Mexico and Canada, the other organizers of the tournament.
