In Zurich, Switzerland, the 2026 Ice Hockey World Championship final saw Finland defeat Switzerland 1-0 in overtime to claim the gold medal.

There were no goals in regulation time. In overtime, Konsta Helenius scored the game-winner.

Finland won its fifth world title (1995, 2011, 2019, 2022, 2026).

In the bronze medal game, Norway beat Canada 3-2 in overtime, earning its first world championship medal.
