In the group stage of the FIFA World Cup, Mexico faced South Korea.

According to Oxu.Az, the match ended with a 1:0 victory for the Mexicans.

The only goal was scored by Romo in the 50th minute.

With this win, Mexico reached 6 points and secured group leadership, while South Korea has 3 points.

Mexico became the first team to qualify for the playoffs of the 2026 World Cup.
