Florentino Perez, president of Real Madrid, has stated he has no intention of resigning.

The 79-year-old club chief also denied rumors of a serious illness during a press conference.

Perez declared: "I will not resign! There are campaigns against me, but I am still here."

He has held the position from 2000-2006 and again since 2009.
