George Russell of Mercedes won the Austrian Grand Prix, the eighth round of the 2026 Formula 1 World Championship.
Four-time world champion Max Verstappen of Red Bull finished second. Championship leader Kimi Antonelli of Mercedes took third place.
With this victory, Russell moved up to second in the standings with 131 points, trailing Antonelli by 40. Lewis Hamilton of Ferrari is third with 125 points.
In the Constructors' Championship, Mercedes leads with 302 points, followed by Ferrari (204) and McLaren (159).
The ninth round will be held in Great Britain from July 3-5.
