Just days before their first match of the 2026 World Cup against Scotland, Haiti's national team was forced to change their kit design.
According to BBC, the uniform featured a military scene that violated FIFA regulations.
The kit, used in two friendly matches prior to the World Cup, included an illustration of the 1803 Battle of Vertières, which secured Haiti's independence, along with the national flag. FIFA rules strictly prohibit any political, religious, or personal messages and slogans on players' attire.
Citing that some visual elements could be interpreted differently, FIFA decided that changes to the design were necessary.
Note that the match between Haiti and Scotland will start on June 14 at 05:00 AM Baku time.
