Turkey captain Hakan Çalhanoğlu commented on the 2-0 loss to Australia.
Speaking to “Fanatik”, the star midfielder said, “Sometimes a slap is good to get back up.”
“It was an unexpected result. The opponent scored two goals from two long passes. We couldn't convert our chances. They only played counter-attacking football. We conceded unnecessary goals. We still have two games, nothing is over,” said the Inter midfielder.
Turkey will face Paraguay on June 20 and the USA on June 26 in the group stage.
