The Azerbaijani national minifootball team played a heavy schedule at the European Championship in Slovakia.

According to Oxu.Az citing "Report", the team's head coach Elshad Guliyev stated this at a press conference.

The specialist shared his thoughts after the final match of the European Championship in Slovakia, where they defeated Ukraine 2:0:

"A magnificent tournament was held. I congratulate the European Minifootball Federation. The organizers' efforts are undeniable. I congratulate our people and team on the championship. We played on a heavy schedule and faced strong opponents, which tired the team. We entered the final tired. I especially congratulate the players for a great final."

E. Guliyev added that the Ukrainian national team also has a good squad:

"Ukraine has good players. They didn't play badly today. We had done a lot of work before coming to the competition. We knew the European Championship would be tough. We didn't expect to reach the final after playing such strong teams. Such a championship makes me doubly happy. In the first championship, we played against easier teams."

It is worth noting that the Azerbaijani minifootball team has become European champion for the second time in its history.
