FIFA President Gianni Infantino has sent a special message to Argentina forward Lionel Messi.
Infantino wrote on social media: "Watching you play has always been one of the greatest privileges of this sport. You make the impossible possible on the pitch."
He wished Messi success in the World Cup and thanked him for his contribution to football. Messi turned 39 on June 24.
The star has scored five goals in the current World Cup, including a hat-trick against Algeria and a brace against Austria.
