Iran's national football team has threatened to leave the pitch if LGBT symbols are displayed during their World Cup match against Egypt.
According to journalist Micky Junior, Iran's Sports Minister Ahmad Dunyamali warned FIFA that the team will boycott the game if political provocations occur.
"We have clearly informed FIFA that if our players are subjected to any political insults or unauthorized slogans, we will immediately withdraw the team from the field and stop the match," Dunyamali said.
The match is scheduled for June 27, 2026, as part of the group stage of the 2026 World Cup.
