The Iran Football Federation plans to file an official complaint with FIFA over travel restrictions that have put the national team at a disadvantage during the World Cup.
According to sport journalist James Ducker, who posted on social media platform X, the Iranian team is set to face Belgium on June 21.
The team has been allowed to arrive in Los Angeles only one day before the match, instead of the requested two days.
The Federation stated: "These restrictions contradict the principle of equal conditions for participating teams and may negatively affect preparation."
The World Cup is being hosted by the USA, Canada, and Mexico. The tournament, featuring 48 teams for the first time, will conclude on July 19.
