Former UFC champion Khabib Nurmagomedov has denied Dana White's claims that he retired because he earned enough money.

On his Instagram, Khabib wrote: "I never ended my career due to financial reasons."

White had earlier stated that Khabib had made enough money and no longer needed to fight.

Khabib said: "When Dana says it, it spreads everywhere. It's a lie. Nobody gave me those millions. It's also not true that I left because of money. The world knows the truth."

Khabib retired in 2021 with 29 wins and no losses. In 2022, he was inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame.
