Renowned German expert Jurgen Klopp has publicly apologized to Germany national team head coach Julian Nagelsmann for comments he made regarding the squad for the 2026 World Cup.
This was reported by Oxu.Az citing the "Daily Mail".
"There is something I need to say, and I have to find time for it. We are unofficially part of this team, we are completely on your side. I found the most disgusting phrase of the year: 'Still'. I could have kicked myself for it, but it was already too late and I was speaking on TV. It just slipped out carelessly and has absolutely nothing to do with the matter.
I realized that the next day I would turn 59, but I am still an idiot. No matter what you do, we are fully behind you," the publication quoted Klopp as addressing Nagelsmann during a live broadcast.
It is worth noting that in the first round of the 2026 World Cup, the German national team defeated Curacao 7:1.
