Netherlands national team head coach Ronald Koeman responded to criticism after the 2026 World Cup exit.
He stated that despite playing with five defenders, the team was still criticized.
"All of Netherlands said we should play with five defenders. We played with five in defense, but still we were criticized. I repeat: I don't care about criticism," Koeman said.
The Netherlands were eliminated in the round of 16. After a 1-1 draw, they lost 3-4 on penalties to Morocco.
