After the match "Shamakhi" vs "Turan Tovuz" (3:2) in the 32nd round of the Misli Premier League, the head coach of the visiting team, Kurban Berdiyev, answered journalists' questions at a press conference.

Assessing the game, Berdiyev said: "We didn't play well in the first half. Don't ask about the referee, I won't talk about it. In the second half, we played more aggressively and managed to equalize. But unfortunately, we conceded another goal later."

The head coach admitted that the team's early qualification for European competitions created some complacency among players. "There was obvious carelessness in the first half. Nevertheless, I thanked the players for the second half performance; we changed the course. Of course, it would have been better if we hadn't conceded that goal at the end."

Agreeing with criticism about the defense's slow reactions, Berdiyev linked both teams' aggressiveness to the refereeing: "The criticism is valid for our first-half performance. But the opponent was also very aggressive. We were late in picking up second balls. After the break, we corrected these shortcomings. As for both teams being so aggressive, it all happened because of the refereeing."

Regarding future plans and the transfer window: "Our search for new players continues; there is no final result yet. We have discussed the number of transfers with the management. Everything will depend on the number of quality players we find."
