Polish striker Robert Lewandowski is reportedly set to sign with Chicago Fire of Major League Soccer.
According to Oxu.Az, journalist Fabrizio Romano announced the news on his X social media page.
The agreement is expected to be finalized early next week.
Earlier, it was reported that Lewandowski would leave Barcelona after the season. His contract runs until June 30. The player joined the Catalan club in the summer of 2022. He has won three La Liga titles, one Copa del Rey, and one Spanish Super Cup with the team.
The 37-year-old Lewandowski has previously played for Borussia Dortmund, Bayern Munich, and Barcelona. With Bayern, he won eight Bundesliga titles, three DFB-Pokal trophies, the UEFA Champions League, and the UEFA Super Cup.
Lewandowski has played 165 matches for the Polish national team, scoring 89 goals, making him the all-time top scorer for his country.
