Liverpool have officially announced the appointment of Andoni Iraola as their new head coach.
The 43-year-old Basque replaces Arne Slot and has signed a contract with the Reds. Details of the deal have not been disclosed.
Iraola had been coaching Bournemouth since 2023. He also managed AEK in Cyprus, and Mirandes and Rayo Vallecano in Spain.
As a player, he spent most of his career at Athletic Bilbao (2003-2015) and also played for New York City FC.
Liverpool finished the 2025/26 season without a trophy, placing 5th in the Premier League, but secured Champions League qualification through an extra spot.
