Former five-weight world champion and boxing legend Floyd Mayweather is facing serious charges. He is accused of grand larceny and fraud by writing a bad check.

According to Oxu.Az citing ESPN, two felony cases have been opened against Mayweather based on Nevada court documents. He allegedly used a worthless check to buy a $200,000 watch in Las Vegas.

The boxer is charged with theft and fraud with "intent to defraud." He could face up to 20 years in prison. The victim's lawyers sought a peaceful resolution, but Mayweather cut off contact.

Mayweather did not attend the Monday court hearing; his lawyer represented him.
