Argentina national team head coach Lionel Scaloni has provided an update on Inter Miami star Lionel Messi's health status.

According to ESPN, despite a muscle injury in late May, the veteran forward is included in the squad for the 2026 World Cup.

"Leo's condition is fine. He has joined the team training. Messi is recovering quickly and could return for friendly matches," Scaloni said.

The 2026 World Cup will take place from June 11 to July 19 in the USA, Canada, and Mexico.
