MMA fighter Medet Jeenaliyev dies rescuing two children from drowning in Kyrgyzstan's Lake Issyk-Kul.

MMA fighter Medet Jeenaliyev tragically died while rescuing two children in Kyrgyzstan.

The incident occurred on the northern shore of Lake Issyk-Kul. Strong winds and waves swept two schoolgirls away from the shore.

Three men, including Jeenaliyev, jumped in to help. Though the girls were saved, Medet couldn't escape the waves.

His body was found and taken to Naryn for burial.
