Neftchi has officially announced its first transfer for the new season.
The Baku club signed a 3-year contract with left-back Rufat Abbasov. The 21-year-old player will wear the number "3" jersey for the team.
A product of Neftchi's academy, Abbasov joined the club's academy in 2015. He was called up to the main squad in the 2021/22 season but played only 2 official matches.
The defender spent the last two seasons at Shamakhi club and has played 17 matches for Azerbaijan's U-21 national team. He has also been invited to the senior national team.
