Norway wins first medal at ice hockey World Championship

In Zurich, Switzerland, the bronze medal game of the 2026 Ice Hockey World Championship was held.

The match between Canada and Norway ended with a 3:2 victory for Norway in overtime, securing the bronze medals for the Scandinavian team.

This is the first medal for Norway in the history of the World Championships.

It should be noted that the final of the championship will feature Switzerland and Finland.
