Orkhan Mammadov, president of the Azerbaijan Minifootball Federation, stated that the national team's second European championship title is a major event for the country's sports and football.

The AMF head shared his thoughts on the team's first-place finish in the tournament held in Slovakia:
"I congratulate everyone on the victory. It is a historic victory. The fans gave us tremendous support. Thank you to each one. To become European champion again is a great pride."
He recalled that the team also won gold in 2022 and became world champions in Baku last year:
"Now teams perceive us differently. I thank all the players and coaching staff. To become European champion for the second time is a great pride."
He reminded that President Ilham Aliyev, after the world championship, received them and instructed them to repeat the success:
"We are proud to have become champions again after those words. The state provides every support."
The AMF president attributed the achievements of 2 European and 1 world championship in 4 years to the hard work of head coach Elshad Guliyev.
It should be noted that the Azerbaijani national team defeated Ukraine 2-0 in the final of the European Championship.
