Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has commented on the altercation between players Aurelien Tchouameni and Federico Valverde.
Speaking at a press conference today, Perez expressed regret that the incident became public.
"This is a very bad situation. But making it public is even worse. In my 26 years at the club, my players have always fought. Sometimes several times a year. But internal matters should stay internal. Youngsters argue, hit each other, then make up," he said.
It is reported that Valverde was hospitalized after the fight with Tchouameni, diagnosed with a head injury. Both players were fined, but Valverde claimed it was not a fight and that he was injured accidentally.
