Former French footballer Emmanuel Petit, a World Cup winner in 1998, has revealed he lost all his medals, including those from the World Cup and European Championship.

The 55-year-old told the "Talk Sport" podcast that he had placed the replica World Cup trophy in a safe and wanted to do the same with his medals. "I searched for hours. I went crazy. Everything disappeared," he said.

Petit won the World Cup in 1998 and the European Championship in 2000 with France. With Monaco, he won the French league and cup, and with Arsenal, he secured the English double in 1998.
