The Professional Football League (PFL) has made payments to clubs under a new incentive mechanism implemented for the first time in Azerbaijani football.
Oxu.Az reports that the PFL released information about this.
According to the decision of the AFFA Executive Committee, the bonus fund formed from fees paid for foreign players listed in the registration sheets of Premier League clubs has been distributed among the teams.
The distribution was based on the minutes played by local footballers. During the season, the PFL made relevant calculations, analyzed all indicators, and determined the final results according to the criteria approved by the AFFA Executive Committee.
According to the Executive Committee's decision, the bonus fund was planned at a minimum of one million manat, but the PFL transferred a total of 2 million 610 thousand manat to the clubs' accounts.
In the final distribution, "Gabala" club took the first place. As announced earlier, the club also received a special bonus of 50 thousand manat in addition to the calculated amount.
The amounts transferred to the clubs and all details of the distribution are reflected in the provided table.
The PFL hopes that this incentive mechanism, applied for the first time, will contribute to strengthening the financial stability of clubs, forming their budgets for the next season, stimulating the development of local players, and the sustainable development of Azerbaijani football.
