FIFA plans to abandon the traditional joint team entry for the 2026 World Cup.

According to sports journalist Ben Jacobs, each player will be individually announced by the stadium announcer as they walk through the tunnel.

This format has already been tested during the Club World Cup. FIFA believes it will enhance the individual image of players.

However, FIFA does not intend to fully replicate the NBA's presentation style.

The 2026 World Cup will be held from June 11 to July 19 in the USA, Canada, and Mexico.
